Finding balance when using data walls to track your students' growth is essential to ensure that they serve as effective tools for student motivation and reflection without causing undue stress or anxiety; however, to ensure that we are not bringing harm to students, ther are a few things to keep in mind:

  • First, it's crucial to create a positive and supportive environment
  • Next, encourage students to celebrate their achievements
  • Lastly, work with your students to set realistic goals for improvement, fostering a sense of ownership over their learning journey
